Questions? Give us a call or send us an email.

Whether you’re starting out, starting over, or looking for a new direction, we’ll work with you one-on-one to get what you need — advice, training, support. No judgment, no runaround, and no cost to you. Just real help to get you to meaningful work.

How it works

We're your personal guide through the workforce. Here's what working with us actually looks like.
1

Reach out

Give us a call, send an email, or walk in — whatever feels easiest. There's no formal application. We'll find a time for you to come in and meet with a job counsellor.

2

Meet your job counsellor

In two weeks or less, you'll sit down with a job counsellor for a casual, one-on-one conversation.

We'll get to know you — your experience, your goals, and what's getting in the way. No judgment, just honest questions so we can figure out how to help.

3

Build your plan

Together, we'll put a plan in place. That might mean

  • working on your resume
  • exploring career options
  • building new skills
  • preparing for interviews.

Whatever makes sense for you.

4

Take action together

Your counsellor stays with you as you work through your plan. That could include:

  • job search coaching
  • workshops
  • skills training
  • connections with employers
  • help with the things that make job searching hard; like transportation, work clothes, or navigating online applications.

Note: Financial support is available to help you get equipped with the things you'll need on the job.

5

Land your job

When you find work — and we'll help you get there — we don't disappear.

Another team member steps in to support you through your first FULL YEAR on the job. Check-ins, advice, and a real person in your corner when you need one.

Big win:

With her perseverance — and a connection made by our Job Developer — Oleksandra secured a permanent part-time Pharmacy Assistant role at a Chesterville pharmacy. She shared that she’s happy in her new position and excited to grow her career here in Canada.

How we helped:

One-on-one support, job search planning, confidence building, labour-market navigation, employer outreach, and ongoing encouragement.

All our services are completely FREE.

You can call or email to schedule an appointment or visit us in person to check for same-day availability. If no appointments are open, we'll book you for the next available time.

Everything is tailored to your situation. That can include career guidance, resume and interview help, skills training, job search support, connections with local employers, and ongoing support for up to a year.

You’ll first meet with a job counsellor to have a chat about what help you need. Please bring your photo ID, SIN, and if you have a resume, bring that too. If you’re new to Canada, bring your immigration status documents.

Yes! We have offices in Cornwall, Winchester, and Morrisburg. Once a month, we also have pop-up services at the Cornwall Youth Hub.

In Cornwall, yes! We’re around the corner from the main bus stop at Pitt Street and 2nd Street.

No — and that's a good thing. A placement agency matches you with a job and moves on. We do something different. We get to know you, help you build a real plan, and support you with training, job search coaching, resume help, and direct connections with local employers. And once you find work, we stay in your corner for up to 12 months to make sure it sticks. It's personal, it's free, and it's built around you.

Absolutely. Whether you need a second job or a career change, we can help.

Yes, virtual appointments are available. Just let us know!

Not having references doesn't mean you're stuck. We'll help you think through who could speak to your strengths. That might be a volunteer coordinator, a teacher, a community leader, or someone else who knows your character. We work through this together.

You'll have one main job counsellor who gets to know you and your goals. Once you land a job, a retention specialist steps in to support you for up to a full year — check-ins, advice, and help if any bumps come up. You'll always have someone in your corner.
